Unlike other categorized family-based immigration, the immediate relative of US citizen can obtain a green card in a speedy route because there is no special waiting time imposed during the green card process. Only administratively required time for the case adjudication is required during the process. The qualified beneficiaries under this category are Spouse of citizen, Minor child of citizen, and Parents of citizen. A fiancé(e) of US citizen may also process green card application under this category once he/she enters the US with K-1 visa.
