Overview

I-601 waiver (Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility) waiver is to request a waiver of certain grounds of inadmissibility for an individual who is ineligible to be admitted to the United States as an immigrant or to adjust status in the US.

I-601A waiver (Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver) is to request a provisional waiver of the unlawful presence grounds of inadmissibility. Once this waiver is approved, you may arrange consular interview before departing the United States.

To get I-601 waiver or I-601A waiver, you must prove that your inadmissibility will cause extreme hardship to your qualifying relatives in the US.
