Family-based immigration is also available for Unmarried adult child of citizen, Spouse of permanent resident, Minor child of permanent resident, Unmarried adult child of permanent resident, Married child of citizen, and Brother and sister of citizen. For these family-based immigration categories, the beneficiary has to wait until his/her priority date is current to file a green card application. The priority date is usually the filing date of the family petition filed by the family petitioner in the United States.

FB-1: Unmarried adult child of US citizen
FB-2A: Spouse and unmarried minor child of a permanent resident
FB-2B: Unmarried adult child of permanent resident
FB-3: Married child of citizen
FB-4: Brother and sister of citizen
